How the Workable integration works

1. Connect with a Workable API token
In Workable Integrations, generate an API token with the right scopes and paste it into TrueHire along with your subdomain (https://your-company.workable.com/spi/v3).
2. Sync jobs and stages
TrueHire pulls every published Workable job by shortcode and the stage slugs for each one so you can build clean mappings instead of hand-typing identifiers.
3. Webhook trigger on candidate move
Add the TrueHire webhook URL in Workable. When a candidate is moved into a configured stage, TrueHire emails the assessment invite within seconds.
4. Reports posted back to the candidate
On submission TrueHire posts a Workable comment with the score breakdown, uploads the PDF report as a candidate file, and (with auto-advance enabled) moves the candidate to the configured next stage.

Auto-trigger assessments from a stage change
When a candidate enters a configured Workable stage — say "Coding Challenge" — TrueHire creates an assignment and emails the invite link automatically. No copy-paste, no manual handoff.
Push results back to the candidate record
After the candidate submits, TrueHire posts a summary note on the Workable candidate record, attaches the full PDF report, and (optionally) advances them to a pass or fail stage based on a score threshold you set.

In Workable, navigate to Integrations → Access tokens and create a token with read/write access to candidates, comments, uploads, stages, and the move endpoint.

In TrueHire, open Settings → Integrations, choose Workable, paste the token, and set the base URL to https://<your-subdomain>.workable.com/spi/v3.

Click Test to verify and Sync Jobs to import your published jobs and stages.

Add stage mappings: choose the job (shortcode), trigger stage, TrueHire test, pass threshold, and pass/fail destination stages.

Copy the webhook URL from TrueHire and add it in Workable Integrations → Webhooks for "Candidate moved" / "Candidate created".

Authentication uses a Workable bearer API token. Workable webhooks aren't HMAC-signed, so TrueHire verifies them with a unique URL-embedded secret per integration.

Does TrueHire support webhooks from Workable?

Yes. Each integration gets a unique webhook URL with a signed secret. Paste it into your Workable webhook settings and TrueHire will react in real time when candidates change stages.
Will candidates know they came from the ATS?

No. The candidate sees a normal TrueHire invite email branded with your organisation name. The link points to the same secure assessment portal they would have received from a manual invite.
Can I roll back auto-advance if a hiring manager disagrees with the score?

Yes. Auto-advance is an opt-in toggle per integration, and recruiters can move the candidate back manually in the ATS at any time. The TrueHire result stays attached either way.
