How the Greenhouse integration works

1. Connect with a Harvest API key
Generate a Harvest key with read/write access to Candidates, Applications, Jobs, and Stages and paste it into TrueHire. We never store passwords or OAuth tokens you didn't scope yourself.
2. Map Greenhouse stages to TrueHire tests
Click Sync Jobs to pull every published job and its hiring stages. For each (job, stage) pair, pick the TrueHire assessment that should fire when a candidate lands there.
3. Greenhouse fires a webhook on stage change
TrueHire receives the signed webhook, looks up the mapping, upserts the candidate, generates an invite token, and emails the assessment to the candidate immediately.
4. Score and integrity report flow back
On submission, TrueHire posts a note on the Greenhouse candidate record with the score and integrity summary, attaches the full PDF report, and — if you enable auto-advance — moves the candidate to your configured pass or fail stage based on a threshold you control.

In Greenhouse, go to Configure → Dev Center → API Credential Management and create a Harvest API key with the scopes Get/Post Candidates, Get/Post Applications, Get Jobs, Get Stages, Patch Applications.

In TrueHire, open Settings → Integrations, choose Greenhouse, and paste the API key.

Click Test to verify the credentials and Sync Jobs to import your jobs and stage list.

Add stage mappings: pick a job, the trigger stage, the TrueHire test to send, the pass score threshold, and the pass/fail target stages.

Copy the webhook URL TrueHire generates and paste it into Greenhouse Web Hooks (Configure → Dev Center → Web Hooks → Web Hooks) for the "Candidate has changed stage" event.

Move a candidate to your trigger stage to verify the end-to-end flow.
Authentication uses Greenhouse Harvest API keys (HTTP Basic). Webhooks are HMAC-SHA256 signed with a secret unique to your integration.

Yes. Auto-advance is an opt-in toggle per integration, and recruiters can move the candidate back manually in the ATS at any time. The TrueHire result stays attached either way.
