The AI interviewer's co-pilot

Follow-up suggestions, answer evaluation, and resume context — in the interview room.

Live follow-up suggestions

AI listens to the conversation and suggests role-relevant follow-up questions as you go.

Real-time answer evaluation

AI scores candidate answers against the rubric dimensions in real time.

Resume context surfacing

AI pulls resume + past-round context to cite without the interviewer prepping.

Deepgram transcription

Live transcription drives the AI copilot and creates searchable records.

Rubric prompts

Copilot reminds interviewers which rubric dimensions remain uncovered.

Automated interview notes

AI drafts structured notes from the transcript so the interviewer can approve, not write from scratch.

Multi-panelist support

Works in panel interviews with suggestions tuned to each panelist's scorecard focus.

Candidate privacy

Candidates know AI is on; copilot suggestions are interviewer-only.

Why teams pick ClarityHire for this

Real workflow, built-in integrity, end-to-end pipeline — in one platform.

Better interviews

Help every interviewer run like a pro

Most engineers are thrown into interviewing with no training. ClarityHire's AI copilot is their silent senior colleague — suggesting follow-ups, reminding of rubric coverage, and drafting notes from the transcript.

  • Follow-up suggestions tailored to candidate answers
  • Rubric-coverage reminders in the sidebar
  • Auto-drafted notes from Deepgram transcript
Built-in integrity

Every signal, every session

Keystroke event capture, face-presence detection, gaze analysis, and code coherence AI run silently throughout every assessment. Every signal feeds a per-candidate authenticity score you can review or automate on.

  • Ten signal types including keystroke events, gaze, face-presence, paste events
  • Per-signal authenticity score per submission
  • Human-readable explanations on every flag
End-to-end hiring

One platform, not five tools

Job boards, assessments, live video interviews, candidate tracking, structured feedback, and PDF reports — all in ClarityHire. Stop paying for five vendors.

  • Replaces ATS + assessment + interview + proctoring
  • Kanban pipelines with stage automations
  • PDF hiring reports for stakeholders

How it works

01

Enable copilot per role

Configure which role, rubric, and seniority the copilot tunes to.

02

Start the interview

Interviewer and candidate enter the room. Copilot opens in the sidebar.

03

AI listens and suggests

As the conversation unfolds, copilot proposes follow-ups, evaluates answers, and cites resume.

04

Approve AI-drafted notes

After the interview, the copilot drafts structured notes. Interviewer approves or edits.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AI copilot visible to the candidate?+

No. Copilot suggestions show only in the interviewer's sidebar. Candidates see a standard video interview room.

Does the candidate know AI is being used?+

Yes. ClarityHire's candidate-facing disclosure explains that AI assists the interviewer during recording. Transparency is default-on.

Can copilot suggestions be disabled for specific interviewers?+

Yes. Copilot is configurable per interviewer and per round. Some teams prefer copilot on junior interviewers only.

Does the copilot bias interviewers toward specific answers?+

The copilot suggests questions, not answers. Interviewers score based on their own judgment against the rubric. Calibration analytics help spot if copilot shifts scoring patterns over time.

What AI model powers the copilot?+

Anthropic Claude by default. OpenAI and self-hosted Ollama options available for regulated orgs.

How much latency does the AI interview assistant add?+

None to the conversation. ClarityHire's copilot runs in the interviewer's sidebar on a separate server-side path (Deepgram streaming plus Claude), so it never sits between the candidate's microphone and the call. Suggestions surface in about a second without slowing the interview itself.

Can an AI interview assistant transcribe both the interviewer and the candidate?+

Yes. ClarityHire transcribes both sides of the conversation with speaker-separated Deepgram transcription running inside the interview room, so every line in the transcript is attributed to the interviewer or the candidate. That two-speaker transcript is what drives the copilot's live follow-up suggestions and the auto-drafted structured notes.

Can the AI assistant handle interview scheduling and notes?+

Both. Scheduling is built in: invites, availability, reminders, and reschedules run through ClarityHire's interview scheduling, so copilot-assisted interviews land on calendars without a separate tool. After each interview the copilot drafts structured notes from the transcript for the interviewer to approve or edit.

Are AI interview assistants detectable in proctored interviews?+

Hidden candidate-side assistants are. Overlay tools that read the screen or capture system audio to feed answers leave detectable signals, and ClarityHire's integrity layer (code coherence AI, keystroke analysis, face continuity, gaze) flags them. ClarityHire's own copilot is the opposite: it assists the interviewer, is disclosed to the candidate, and is never hidden.

Where does the AI interview assistant overlay appear?+

ClarityHire's copilot is not an overlay on the candidate. It shows only in the interviewer's sidebar. Candidate-side overlay tools that float answers over a video call are exactly the behavior our proctoring is built to detect, not something we provide to candidates.

Does the AI assistant work with Microsoft Teams or Zoom interviews?+

ClarityHire runs its own LiveKit-powered interview room with the copilot and transcription built in, so you get live suggestions plus integrity signals in one place. For teams currently on Microsoft Teams or Zoom, run the round in ClarityHire's room to get copilot and proctoring rather than bolting an assistant onto an external call.

How do AI interview assistants capture system audio?+

Candidate-side cheating tools typically use loopback or virtual-audio-device capture to grab call audio and generate answers. ClarityHire does not rely on those hacks: it transcribes both speakers from within its own interview room, and it flags candidate environments where system-audio capture is being used to feed a hidden assistant.

What are the system requirements for the AI interview copilot?+

The copilot is browser-based with nothing to install for the interviewer. A current version of Chrome, Edge, or Firefox with microphone and camera access is enough. Because the copilot runs server-side, it does not need a high-end machine to keep up.
